Why is Bethel Ridge Needed

The need for marriage and family reconciliation is huge – in the world, in this nation, and in our communities. A survey of married couples showed that 90% do not expect their marriages to end in divorce. However, over 57% of first marriages do end in divorce and more than 60% of second marriages do not survive. For every $1000 spent to deal with the effects of family disintegration, only one dollar is spent to prevent a family break up. It is the passion of Bethel Ridge that families and individuals find healing and restoration. We believe it is God who has the solutions to life’s problems and His solutions change lives.

Therefore, Bethel Ridge was founded on the premise that marriage still represents our deep-rooted hope for strong families and lasting relationships. The family is the most basic and universal human institution. It has been vital in every civilization. No other institution offers more hope for positive change than the family.

As professional counselors, we can spend hours working with a family or a couple on a weekly basis and barely scratch the surface of the real issues. Often, defense mechanisms remain in place. Intensive counseling makes the difference in recovery. The opportunity to have uninterrupted, focused time to deal with relational issues allows much more progress over the same therapy hours. Most receive a jump-start on the healing process. Bethel Ridge is committed to the providing the environment, hospitality, and counseling that best fits each individual and/or family.
