     My husband and I came to Bethel Ridge in a desperate attempt to save our marriage. We had been to several counselors in the past and they all seemed to address the problem of the day. I so desperately wanted to go deeper than that and learn why repeated bad behavior/choices, etc. kept happening. This experience at Bethel Ridge was answer to prayer! The counseling was amazing. We had time to go back to the core principals of marriage, both Biblically and in day to day living. We were able to explore past hurts and current problems, and gain an understanding of our emotions and what to do with them.Learning how to forgive and walk with Jesus everyday provides so much hope for our marriage as well as our own spiritual journey. I am so excited to see what God has planned for me next! I will be forever grateful for our counselors; their knowledge, love and ability to help us better understand each other.      We were in such bad shape, with no foundation, when we came to Bethel Ridge.  The counseling gave us the foundation and tools to work with. What we learned in three days was amazing! I believe our future is going to be the best. My time spent in counseling was worth every second. I thought the things we discussed would never be able to be worked out. I am still amazed that I came into this without communicating at all - to then communicating ho I felt and even engaging in the discussions. I am now able to have a conversation with my wife about serious issues without getting mad. For the first time in our marriage, we were able to resolve an issue and come up with a plan on our own, with some guidance. We actually talked about us, not work or our friends. All I can say is WOW! Either I am good or God is working in my heart. I know the answer, God is amazing! I was never able to do this on my own. Thank you for all your help and prayers. I think this is one amazing ministry. Keep up the good work. I believe God has given Joy and me a foundation and a new start to a wonderful marriage.

How can we begin to summarize the tremendous impact these few days have had on our lives? Upon arrival, we felt an instantaneous oneness of spirit. The tranquil, nurturing environment allowed us to truly be still and hear from the Lord. The very unique hospitality and delicious meals (gourmet) made us feel so special. The genuine sensitivity of Gregg and Glenna, the sincere empathy, tenderness in speech, humility and unconditional love they truly possess, is a divine picture of our Lord. We will be forever grateful for the time we were able to share with these faithful and loving "servants." They truly listen with their hearts! You two are great (discrete) referees!
